It's been about one month since my first "Must Have Products" blog post so that means it's time for another. This month, my focus has been all about getting ready for summer! And that includes skincare and a beach-ready swimsuit that I am in love with! Plus, I am still working my way through different products to use for the wedding, so one made this list as well.
Check out everything I've been obsessing over this month!

I took a week off from blogging last week to enjoy every last bit of my birthweek that I could! I turned 22 last Monday and for my birthday, my parents took me and Zack to the Outer Banks. I was dying to get out of town for a little while and we only live two and half hours away from the beach so we thought "why not?" We loaded up the car took off for a one night trip. While the water was freezing and way toO cold to even dip a toe in, I enjoyed getting some fresh air and just a tiny bit of sunshine.
Keep reading to see the highlights (meaning food and drinks) of our trip!
I am so excited to share my latest DIY project with you: my microwave cart turned bar cart! I am so in love with the way this turned out. It makes the perfect addition to my dining room.
This project came to be for a number of reasons. First, I had a whole bunch of liquor bottles taking up valuable space on my my kitchen counter. Second, my parents were getting rid of this old microwave cart and I thought it had potential. Third, I have an empty wall in my dining room that I felt needed something and I have always wanted a bar cart. Thus, this DIY project was born!
To celebrate the beginning of the newtravel section of my blog, I've been thinking that my first post should be about somewhere I love to travel and by what better way than sharing our engagement pictures?!
Zack and I took our engagement pictures earlier last month in the Mountains of North Carolina. It was where he proposed and one of our favorite travel destinations so it just seemed like the perfect fit for our engagement pictures!
Happy Cinco de Mayo! To celebrate today, I want to share with you my new found love of mojitos with my easy recipe.
I just started learning how to make mojitos in the past couple of weeks. I have a beautiful mint plant growing in my herb garden and thought that mojitos would be the perfect use for the fragrant leaves I have an abundance of. (I tried mint julep, but I'm more of a rum girl anyway.) I think mojitos are so refreshing! They will be the perfect drink to make all summer long and I see myself doctoring up this recipe to add different fruits and flavors as the season progresses. |
