It's that time of year again! September is only 5 days away and that means I can (officially) break out all my fall decor! In case you haven't guessed yet, Fall is my favorite season. My house is barren except for this time of year because all I invest in is Fall decor. By this time next week, when you step in my house, all you will see is pumpkin this and pumpkin that. And I can't wait!

I have a love hate relationship with distressed jeans. Why would I buy a pair of ripped jeans when I am just going to fall down and put holes in them on my own? But I can't deny how cute they are (especially with Fall right around the corner) and how much I have been wanting a pair of distressed boyfriend jeans lately. So, in true creative fashion, I decided to make my own pair of DIY Distressed Boyfriend Jeans! That way I can stop my fixation while going easy on my pockets!
My brand new fashion tutorial will teach you how to make ripped jeans using stuff you already have around the house! (And, no. It doesn't involved you falling down in order to rip holes in your pants like I do).
Summer may be close to being over (thank God), but there is still plenty of time left to make those yummy summer desserts. I'm talking smores, banana splits, and, my new favorite, grilled peaches. This summer, after inquiring a whole bunch of peaches on a trip to the North Carolina Farmer's Market, I made it my mission to finally try this summer staple. What resulted was my new grilled peaches recipe with brown sugar.
I try to stay away from leisure shopping at Target as much as I can. It’s just a trap. A trap where I end up spending too much money if I have time to just stroll down all the aisles of fantastic stuff that I didn’t know I needed. Today, I fell into that trap. But, I got such great deals, I just had to share!
There's nothing I love more than a good Amazon shopping trip. And that's not just because I can go shopping in my PJ's without leaving my couch. There are so many Amazon finds to discover and all at great prices! They have something for everybody, including trendy farmhouse decor.
I love just browsing on Amazon. I have dozens of lists saved (and a wedding registry, too!) full of ideas and future projects. So, when I came across all these Amazon finds of farmhouse decor under $25, I knew I just had to share!
I don't know about your fur-babies, but this summer, Jasper has some pretty irritating issues. I'm talking about dry skin and bad breath. Between the constant scratching and gnawing and the awful butt breath, he's about to drive me crazy. Not to mention, the constant scratching makes me feel like a bad fur-mama because nothing I have done has helped him feel less itchy. That's how I ended up creating these homemade coconut oil dog treats recipes.
Something that I see is super popular this summer is denim skirts. While I spent my entire childhood trying to dodge the ones Mama bought me, I have been very reluctant to buy a pair even though they look so cute on everyone else! That’s how I got the idea for this DIY denim skirt! Instead of buying a brand-new denim skirt, why not make one out of an old pair of jeans
If you’re anything like me, you’re all about beauty on a budget. I love beauty products, makeup especially, but I also like spending my money on other things. Like food. Always food. So when I find awesome beauty products without having to break the bank, I am one happy girl.
Nothing says first day of summer like a fresh, healthy fruit salad. To me, summer days are all about lounging around, soaking up the sun (when there’s a pool or beach nearby preferably), and chowing down on some fresh fruits and veggies. Today, to celebrate the first day of summer, I’m combining a few of my favorite summer things and sharing my easy summer recipe for healthy fruit salad.
This Saturday, Beanies & Weenies has been graced by a guest post from Katja Orel at Wild for Nature! She has wonderful tutorials to make your own natural skincare and beauty products and so much more natural goodness on her blog. Check her out!
I don’t know about you but come summer, my skincare products change quite a bit. And so does my relationship towards heavy skin lotions or facial oils. There is a strict no, no for butters and anything of the sort. In my personal belief, summer is all about light, refreshing, cooling, and soothing. That’s why we’re making a fragrant facial toner with green tea extract. Let’s get to it!
