Red White & Blue: Basic Crochet Bralette Pattern for the 4th of July

Happy Independence day! To celebrate this colorful holiday, I made a crochet bralette bikini top in red, white, and blue! I found this Lily's Sugar N'Cream yarn in nautical ombre and thought it was perfect. This bralette is great for lounging by the pool or wearing under your favorite tank top while enjoying the sun. As my Fourth of July gift to you, I am sharing my pattern for a basic crochet bralette pattern!

To crochet a basic bralette, all you need is cotton yarn and a g hook. From there, it's pretty simple! The pattern I am sharing with you is specifically for a B-cup, but it can be changed to fit any size cup. Just measure your beginning chain to the size you want and work from there, ignoring any stitch counts I list. If need be, you can use an existing bra as a guide for how big or wide you should make your own crochet bralette as well.

So, without any further ado, here is my basic crochet bralette pattern:

Materials:

• G Hook
• Lily's Sugar N'Cream Yarn (2 balls)
• Scissors
• Tapestry Needle

Abbreviations:

• Ch= Chain
• DC= Double Crochet
• SC= Single Crochet
• St= Stitch
• Beg= Beginning
• SC Dec= Single Crochet Decrease
• Sl St= Slip Stitch
• Sp= Space

Cups
Ch. 14
Row 1: In 3rd ch from hook, DC, 10 DC, 2 DC in next ch, ch 1, 2 DC in same ch, working down opposite side, 11 DC, turn
Row 2: Ch. 2, counts at first DC, 12 DC, 2 DC in ch, ch 1, 2 DC in same ch, DC 12, turn
​Row 3: Ch. 2, 14 DC, 2 DC in ch, ch 1, 2 DC in same ch, DC 15, turn
Row 4: Ch. 2, 16 DC, 2 DC in ch, ch 1, 2 DC in same ch, DC 17, turn
Row 5: Ch. 2, 18 DC, 2 DC in ch, ch 1, 2 DC in same ch, DC 19, turn

Cut yarn, make two

Band
Lay cups side by side, right side down, with the straight edges lined up
Row 1: attach yarn to far ride side of the right cup, SC across, in last st of cup, beg SC dec and finish in first st of second cup, SC across bottom of the next cup, turn
Row 2-3: Ch. 2, DC across, cut yarn

Side Straps
attach yarn to bottom left corner of the left cup, crocheting up towards the top of the bralette
Row 1: SC 4, turn
Row 2-30: SC across, turn
Row 31: Ch. 1, 2 SC, SC dec, turn
Row 32: Ch. 1 SC dec, SC, turn
Row 33: Ch. 1, SC dec
Row 34: Ch. 76, sl st back down length of strap, sl st into beg ch,
Cut yarn, repeat on other side

Halter Straps
With the right side facing down, start at the base of the right cup where it meets the side strap
Row 1: SC up the side of the cup, in ch sp, SC ch 100, SC down length of strap, SC in ch sp, SC down other side of cup, SC dec between cups, SC up the side of the left cup, in ch sp, SC, ch 100, SC down length of strap, SC in ch sp, SC down other side of cup
