Something that I see is super popular this summer is denim skirts. While I spent my entire childhood trying to dodge the ones Mama bought me, I have been very reluctant to buy a pair even though they look so cute on everyone else! That’s how I got the idea for this DIY denim skirt! Instead of buying a brand-new denim skirt, why not make one out of an old pair of jeans
The best part about this DIY is that it is very easy to do. Not to mention, nearly everyone has an old pair of jeans lying around. If not, I got this pair for a little over $3 at Goodwill! This DIY denim skirt is very affordable compared to some of the price tags in name brand stores.
While I used a sewing machine to make my DIY denim skirt, it’s not necessary to make your own skirt out of an old pair of jeans. You can sew them by hand if you want to, or, better yet, use fabric glue! The result of this DIY is a very durable denim skirt that you can certainly wear out of the house to the beach, concerts, or just a shopping day at the mall all summer long. Thank you! I was hoping that you wouldn't be able to tell they used to be jeans at first glance.
