DIY Twilight Quote Decor with Canva

SO, several things occured to me this past week. One, it has been a hot minute since I posted a DIY tutorial on this blog. Second, August 13th marked Bella and Edward's 10th wedding anniversary (their 15th if you're a true Twihard and go by the books like me). Third, the #TwilightRenaissance on TikTok is the only thing getting me through this unending pandemic.

So, in the end, I decided to make this DIY Twilight Quote Decor with Canva! Keep reading to learn how to make your own!

I mean it, if you've ever loved Twilight at any point in your life and you've never checked out the new life it has gotten on TikTok, you need to drop everything you're doing and head over there right now. Well, after you finish reading this blog post, that is.

Truth be told, I never left my Twilight phase as much as I hate to admit it. And now that I'm seeing everyone else's Twilight themed arts and crafts, especially surrounding all the famous Twlight quotes out there, I just had to join in.

For this project, I went with  one of the more famous twilight love quotes from Breaking Dawn Part One. It's part of Edward's wedding speech when he says, "No measure of time with you will be long enough. But let's start with forever."

I designed this DIY Twilight quote decor using Canva Pro. With Canva Pro, you don't even have to have a background in graphic design to create beautiful designs! You get access to thousands of professional images, elements, and fonts, plus the ability to upload your own fonts and save your own brand color palattes!

After getting the design just right, I printed it out, got a frame from the Dollar Tree, and used the same method I used when I made my DIY Halloween Wall Decor With Canva. I just used a glass maker to trace it onto the glass!

Materials:

• Canva Pro
• Printer
• 8 x 10 in. or 8.5 x 11 in. Frame
• Glass or Window Marker in Black
• Glass Cleaner
• Tape

DIY Twilight Quote Decor Instructions:

1. Sign up for Canva Pro and open up a blank 8 x 10 in. or 8.5 x 11 in. design.
2. Create 7 text boxes. In each one, type: "No measure of" "time with you" "will be long" "enough" "But let's" "start with" and "forever"
3. Find your favorite Twilight themed font online (I used this free Twilight New Moon font) and upload under "Brand Kit" on Canva's home page
4. Change every text box to your new Twilight font and change the size to about 60 pt
5. Under elements, search for "filigree flourish divider"
6. Click the first one to it to add it to the page, center it, and make sure it is black
7. Align the rest of your text boxes so that they are centered around it
8. Lock everything into place if necessary
9. Under elements, search for "pine trees silouette"
10. Click the third one twice to add two to the page, make sure they are black, and move them to the two lower corners
11. Underelements, search for "snowy mountains outline"
12. Click the first one to add it to the page, make sure it's black, and center it at the bottom
13. Once everything looks correct, print it! Here, you could leave your printable Twilight love quote decor as-is and just frame it and hang it! But, if you want to take it a step further and make it on glass, follow the rest of the steps below!
14. Take the back out of your frame and wipe both sides of the glass down with glass cleaner
15. Place your Twilight quote graphic against the glass on the same side the photo would go and place the back back against the glass to help keep the printed quote in place. You could also tape it to help keep it from sliding around.
16. Flip the frame over and start tracing! Yes, it's that simple. Trace everything from the letters to the flourishes. Leave it to dry once done
17. When it's dry, take the back off and the paper out, and hang up your new DIY Twilight Quote Decor!
