Easy Homemade Latte No Equipment Necessary
Now that the weather stays rather chilly, I  tend to want a nice, warm latte more days than not. But there's one problem- I'm too broke to visit a coffee shop everyday! Luckily, I found a way to make easy homemade lattes without having to invest in a lop of expensive equipment. Have I piqued your interest? Keep reading to know how you can, too!
Easy Homemade Latte No Equipment Necessary
For those who are still confused in the difference between lattes and cappuccinos (don't feel bad, I still get all these fancy coffee drinks mixed up), a latte has more milk than a cappuccino. A cappuccino has more espresso than a latte.

Lattes are my favorite coffee drink because I usually don't have to doctor them up. I like my coffee on the sweet side, so I tend to go for sweet flavored ones. When I get a hankering for a latte, but don't have time or money to go buy one, I make one at home.

Instead of using expensive equipment, I just use my Keurig and microwave. I brew a strong coffee to make up for not having espresso and heat my milk up until it's nice and foamy. The trick is shaking the milk up in the mason jar! That gets the milk nice and foamy just like a latte from a coffee shop.

My easy homemade lattes only takes a few minutes to make and couldn't create better results! Read below to learn all the steps in making a homemade latte. If you make one of your own, don't forget to let me know how yours turns out!
Ingredients
  • 8 oz.  Strong, Brewed Coffee
  • 1/2 c. Milk
  • Mason Jar
  • Coffee Syrup to Taste (Optional)
  • Sugar to Taste (Optional)
  • Whipped Cream to Taste (Optional)

Directions
  1. Brew your coffee on the strong side.
  2. While your coffee is brewing, pour the milk into the mason jar. Shake the jar for 30 seconds to 1 minute. Make sure the milk is nice and frothy.
  3. Place the jar of milk in the microwave and heat it for 30 seconds.
  4. Pour your brewed coffee into a mug. Pour the hot milk into the coffee, holding back the milk foam with a spoon.
  5. Add coffee syrup or sugar here, if you prefer.
  6. Spoon the milk foam on top of your latte.
  7. Top with whipped cream, if desired!

And that's all you need to do for an easy (and cheap!) latte at home!
