St. Patrick's Day Green Cocktail with Lime Sherbet, Sprite, and White Rum
St. Patrick's Day is right around the corner and in preparation, I'm testing green cocktails! Everyone knows that St. Patrick's Day is the perfect excuse to drink, so this year, I wanted make a green, boozy drink that I can drink all day long. If you're looking for a green cocktail this St. Patrick's Day, keep reading to see what I have concocted!

My first step in figuring out how to make a green, boozy cocktail this St. Patrick's Day was figuring out how to make it green. To do this, I used 2 scoops of lime sherbet. I love sherbet and I love creamy drinks, so this was a no brainer for me. I know I could have used a green melon liquor, but I had a feeling that I wouldn't like that flavor. So I stuck with the sherbet. But what booze was I going to add?

I ended up going with white rum. Rum is my favorite liquor and I think you can add white rum to any existing drink and it would taste fine, so I added about a shot of Bacardi White Rum. Next, to fill out the rest of the drink, I added sprite (well, diet Wal Mart brand sprite, but you get the picture). And BOOM! My three ingredient St. Patrick's Day green cocktail was born!

The drink turned out to be super easy and super yummy. It reminded me of a green, limey root beer float. I also recommend adding a dash of fresh lime juice just for an added punch. If you try it out, let me know! I'd love to hear about your results.
