There's a chill in the air, the leaves have changed, and everywhere I look, I see PUMPKINS! That must mean Halloween is near. This year, to celebrate my favorite holiday, I whipped up this Jack O'Lantern beanie that I am sharing with you today!

I love everything about Halloween- the weather, the candy, the costumes. But most importantly, I love getting to carve pumpkins and all things spooky. So I thought "why not take it a step further and put a pumpkin on my head?"
That's how this Jack O'Lantern beanie was born! This may be one of my favorite beanies yet. It uses red heart yearn, an H hook, a J hook, the same brim method from my most popular beanie patterns on Etsy, and the Waistcoat Stitch, also known as the Knit Stitch. This stitch can seem a bit complicated at first, but once you get the hang of it, it's super simple! I have included a video tutorial on my Instagram about how to do the Waistcoat Stitch below! This pattern is also available in an ad-free, printable PDF on Etsy! (This version also includes a color graph for visual learners!) Materials:Abbreviations:
